Our founder
Founded in March 2021 by Rachel Wong.
Rachel graduated from King’s College London in 2013 with First Class Honours, then practised in top-tier international and local law firms in corporate M&A and private equity.
She saw a gap in the market: ambitious early-stage founders could be better represented and supported. With that in mind, Founders Doc was born.

We are also a startup because we are building B2B tools we think can be helpful for fellow lawyers, company secretaries and paralegals.

How we work with founders — and what we ask in return.
- Founders first. We act for founders and early-stage companies — never across the table from them.
- Plain English, always. If you don’t understand a clause, we haven’t finished explaining it.
- Confidential by default. What you share with us stays between us.
- Honest fees and timelines. Fixed or scoped wherever the work allows, agreed upfront.
- Mutual respect. We work best with decisive, ambitious, honest founders — and hold ourselves to the same standard.

Where is Founders Doc based?
Singapore — with a wide network of contacts across Southeast Asia (in particular Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam), and coverage for founders incorporating in the UK and US.
Is Founders Doc managed by lawyers?
Absolutely. Whenever legal advice is dispensed, we ensure the person giving it holds a valid practising certificate (or its equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction) — lawyers who specialise in startup law and are qualified to advise where you operate.
Do you service investors and VC funds?
As a rule of thumb, no — we act for founders and early-stage companies, with a handful of exceptions in very rare situations. It keeps us free of conflicts, and honestly, we’re a big fan of good startup founders.
What clients do you service?
Early-stage companies and founders from pre-seed to Series C — ideally decisive, enjoyable to work with, ambitious and honest. That means a lot to us.
