FD

A loan agreement, for lending or borrowing money.

Answer plain-English questions about the amount, the interest and how it is repaid — and FD AI puts together a loan agreement from our lawyers' master: one lender or several, to an individual or a company, including a founder borrowing for their start-up.

First choose how detailed it should be: Simple (the essentials), Standard (our lawyers' master) or Comprehensive (every option). Then tell us whether you are lending or borrowing, and the usual answers lean to your side. It is in Beta and written under Singapore law. It takes 3 to 10 minutes; anything you skip takes the usual answer.

This tool helps you prepare a draft loan agreement. It is not legal advice. We recommend having a lawyer check it before it is signed.

Level of Detail. How detailed should the agreement be?

Pro Tip: Move the slider to choose. A fuller level asks a few more questions and adds the master's fuller protections. You can change the level later from the list on the right; your answers are kept.

Level of detail2 / 3Standard

Standard (recommended) · about 20 questions · 8 pages The Founders Doc master, with its usual protections: several Lenders, a founder's company, change of control, the cap on liability and legal costs. Right for most loans.

Choose fuller and you are asked a few more questions; choose Simple and the agreement stays short. You can change it later.

A draft loan agreement (Beta), following the Founders Doc master loan agreement — to be checked by a qualified lawyer before use. Terms
